As before, a largely peaceful demonstration is infiltrated by a violent and aggressive faction:
"The policing and reporting of yesterday's May Day protests was so excessive as to seem like gross provocation. In their gleaming cockroach ranks, the 6,000 officers looked like they were there to pick a fight, not stop one."
